Boxing

Siu Lam Wing Chun Kyun is the name of our martial art. Translated, this means “The Fistfight of Everlasting Spring from the Shaolin Temple.”

Boxing is a widely used, effective fistfighting style. In sports, boxers defeat an opponent either by landing effective hits over several rounds or by knocking out an opponent.

Boxing (hitting) in the area of self-defense knows no rounds and no referees. There is no throwing in the towel and no disqualifications if the rules are violated. The attacker rarely retreats and wants to bring the enemy down by any means necessary as quickly as possible. The boxing of Siu Lam Wing Chun is designed to precisely control a potential attacker. In close combat, the Siu Lam Wing Chun fighter can quickly and effectively control an attacker and the principles and concepts of the martial art are in full bloom.
