Our school is all about learning Wing Chun<\/b><\/span>. We teach authentic Siu Lam Wing Chun <\/b><\/span>which is practiced in real combat situations<\/b><\/span>, compative<\/b><\/span> situations and competitions. Unlike many other schools, which often only teach theory<\/b><\/span> and set scenarios, we focus on realistic applications<\/b><\/span> of the Siu Lam Wing Chun techniques<\/b><\/span>. These are based on years of experience and authentic knowledge<\/b><\/span>. Our curriculum includes 108 techniques<\/b><\/span>, 18 bridge hands<\/b><\/span>, 6 points<\/b><\/span> and 2 basic principles<\/b><\/span>. These elements enable our students to act effectively in any real-life confrontation, to act effectively<\/b><\/span>. <\/p>

There are many claims of authenticity in the martial arts world, but true authenticity<\/strong> is seen in practical application<\/strong>. Authentic knowledge always leads to a working application<\/strong>, and a working application is not a product of mere “theories” or “technical moves” – it can only come from real experience<\/strong> and years of practice<\/strong>. At our school, Wing Chun is not just passed on as a “tradition”, but as a living, practical art<\/strong> that works in real situations. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The 18 bridge hands<\/b><\/span> are a central component in many Wing Chun schools. However, they only represent a small part of our overall curriculum. Our Wing Chun is based on 108 techniques <\/b><\/span>which offer a multitude of possible applications and variations. These 108 techniques<\/b><\/span> promote a deep understanding of the principles of application<\/b><\/span> and the strategic possibilities <\/b><\/span>required in various combat situations. <\/p>

We use 6 points <\/b><\/span>that control structure and movement throughout the system. These points connect techniques and ensure that each movement follows on logically from the next. Our 2 basic principles<\/b><\/span> provide the philosophical and strategic basis. They are applied both in training and in real conflicts. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Functioning applications are not created out of nothing. They are created through real experience<\/b><\/span> and practice<\/b><\/span>. In our school you will not only learn how to use Wing Chun. We also offer training <\/b><\/span>that focuses on realistic applications<\/b><\/span>. Only through years of experience and testing the principles and techniques in different contexts will the fighting ability<\/b><\/span> of our students will increase from the very first minute and develop with each training session. We prepare our students for real-life confrontations that improve their skills quickly and effectively. <\/p>

Our Wing Chun is based on tried and tested knowledge passed on by real masters. These masters have gained practical experience that has been integrated into every technique. They have tested and applied their knowledge over decades in real-life situations. Many Wing Chun schools based on Yip Man<\/b><\/span> pursue a clear commercial orientation<\/b><\/span>. Yip Man laid the foundation for the spread of Wing Chun in the West. However, many schools that refer to him do not focus on the practical application<\/b><\/span> of Wing Chun. Instead, they focus on rapid growth<\/b><\/span> and commercial success<\/b><\/span>. They offer Wing Chun as a brand and often work within the framework of a franchise system<\/b><\/span>. These schools are less concerned with authentic transmission and practical functionality. <\/p>

In contrast, our school focuses on holistic and functional understanding<\/b><\/span> of Wing Chun. We are not focused on commercialization. Our focus is on deeper understanding<\/b><\/span> and the practical application<\/b><\/span> of the techniques in the real world. We are not about “marketing”, but about authentic, tried and tested practice<\/b><\/span>. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

While many Wing Chun schools around the world draw on the Yip Man style<\/strong>, we would like to emphasize that our lineage comes from a different, equally venerable tradition that focuses on authentic Siu Lam Wing Chun <\/strong>. Our lineage has been shaped by eminent masters who have been recognized not only for their martial arts skills, but also for their profound traditional wisdom and experience<\/strong>. <\/p>

Our style is officially listed in the Intangible Cultural Heritage List of Hong Kong<\/strong> under number 3.64.2 (<\/strong>Ban Chung Weng Chun, Ban Chung = Red Junk, see History). This emphasizes the cultural and historical value<\/strong> of the tradition we carry on. <\/p>

Chu Chun Man<\/strong>, Lo Chiu Wun<\/strong>, Taam Gong<\/strong> and Tang Yik<\/strong> are names that are held in high esteem in the world of Wing Chun. They all go back to the Wing Chun of Fung Siu Cing<\/strong>, who also strongly influenced Yip Man Wing Chun through his student Yuen Kai San<\/strong>. Tang Syun<\/strong>, another student of Fung Siu Cing<\/strong>, trained security forces and the police in Guangdong<\/strong>. These masters have practiced and passed on Siu Lam Wing Chun for years with incredible dedication and discipline. Their teachings<\/strong> and technical subtleties<\/strong> differ from mainstream methods and offer a deep, authentic practice. <\/p>
