My Siu Lam Wing Chun Way started back in 1997. Starting from Germany I was a student of Jörg Weidner SiFu (Chi Sim Ving Tsun) from the Way Yan / Cheng Kwong / Andreas Hoffmann Lineage. I moved to Berlin in 2007 where I opened the first and independent Berlin Shaolin Weng Chun School. From here I made contact with Derek Rozanski and could learn the Siu Lam Wing Chun from Apolo Chiu Sifu in 2013 (student of GM Chan Wing Yu, GM Tang Yik, Koblenz Seminar) and as a student of Michael Tang Chun Pak Sifu (student of GM Tang Yik) from 2010 (forum-, email-, video-teaching) to 2013 (Hongkong) until 2018 (Hongkong and Berlin). I also could learn from Peter Wong Wing Keung Sifu (student of GM Tang Yik) in 2016 and visit and touch hands with Tang Kwok Lan Sisuk (student of GM Tang Yik). Meanwhile, our Siu Lam Wing Chun Kung Fu is authentic and the members of the Siu Lam Wing Chun / Weng Chun families appreciate our work very much. Of course, therefore our Wing Chun is not very commercial and can not be learned from all characters. Just as the student chooses our school, I take the liberty of choosing the student I expect to have a good and effective cooperation with. This freedom is necessary because Kung Fu can only be passed on with great physical closeness, hand to hand, heart to heart, and mutual trust. An anonymous form, at the cost of transfering real knowledge has only damaged the Chinese Kung Fu, and I’m glad we’ve never been part of that commercialization. Many abhor us, fortunately.
