Pars of the Siu Lam Wing Chun have their origin in the curriculum of the Tang Family and that includes a unique training device, the longpole dummy.

The longpole techniques are trained on it, as well as the special footwork of the Siu Lam Wing Chun longpole. The dummy is a wooden rack with seven longpoles and a plaque in the center.

This unique complex training method has often been copied and was never achieved.
The form used to be passed only within the Tang Family.

Exactly three years ago some really good looking guys have been standing in front of the former place, where the Siu Lam Wing Chun grandmasters, the so called four tigers of siu lam wing chun, gathered together and shared their knowledge. This was when the modern times in Siu Lam Wing Chun began. Here they collected their family handed-down skills, hand and weapon forms. These have been shared and taught here. Dai Dak Lan was the name of the place and this is also where the first wall mounted wooden dummy hung, where Master Yip Man took the measurement from, to add it also into his Yip Man Wing Chun. #DaiDakLan #ChuChunMan #LoChiuWun #TaamGong #TangYik #WayYan #YipMan ...
