108 Techniques - one System
In this intensive workshop, you will delve deeply into the core form of Siu Lam Wing Chun – the Wing Chun Kyun hand form. Wing Chun Kyun forms the foundation of the martial art and contains the 108 hand techniques that underlie all movement patterns and applications. It is the structural core through which principles such as balance, structure, timing and control can be directly experienced and internalised.
In this workshop, we will not only teach you the individual movement sequences, but also show you how these techniques unfold in realistic partner exercises and application scenarios. You will learn how individual sequences work at different distances, how they complement each other and how to implement them in a fluid, powerful movement.
Workshop content:
- Deepening your understanding of the 108 techniques and analysing their concepts
- Structure and power transfer in the movements
- Practical application of individual segments in economical partner training
- Understanding principles such as distance, centre line and control
- Integration of hand forms into concrete defensive and offensive concepts
This workshop is aimed at anyone who wants to thoroughly understand and apply Wing Chun in practice – from advanced students who want to deepen their form work to those with a little previous experience in Wing Chun or other martial arts systems.
