After the great success of our series on the Siu Lam Wing Chun hand form, I would like to take this opportunity to review the most important aspects and highlights of this series with you.

The essence of the hand shape

In this series, we have explored together the basics of the Siu Lam Wing Chun hand form, which is considered the foundation for all other forms and techniques in Wing Chun.
We have focused on the 108 hand techniques and shown how you can apply each technique in different situations and distances.
The hand form is not just a training tool, but a comprehensive method to internalize and master the principles and concepts of Wing Chun.

Authenticity and tradition

Our series places particular emphasis on preserving the original techniques and concepts as taught by Grand Master Tang Yik and his students.
We deliberately distance ourselves from approaches that mystify the art or take it in an impractical direction.
Instead, we have shown you how to use the hand form realistically and effectively in combat.

Every episode in detail

Each episode featured a specific technique of the hand form, from basic movements to advanced applications.
We explained how and why these techniques are used, emphasizing the practical benefits.
Here are some of the techniques we covered:

  • Biu Zi (Darting Fingers): Use in close combat situations.
